This paper will deal with the famous “Red Onion of Tropea”. We decided to go to its origins, describing from the cultivation process to the finished product, introducing the history and the IGP certificate obtained over the years. The first “Onion Party” in Tropea began in 2019, a success before, during and after the pandemic, which attracted the attention of both the local population and tourists. It is a significant contribution to the promotion of the city as a tourist destination; A well-known company for the production and sale of Tropea Red Onions has decided to collaborate with us, and make a contribution by studying the cultivation and distribution process from within
