USFSM is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor within the College of Hospitality and Tourism Leadership. The successful applicant for this position will be teaching hospitality management courses, producing research and offering service to the university, community and hospitality industry. The competitive candidate will be teaching hospitality courses such as Hospitality Human Resources Management, Hospitality Operations, and other courses as needed. Tenure Track positions teach a minimum of two courses in the fall and two courses in the spring semesters, some of them will be taught on other USF campuses and/or may be web-based.
Doctorate Degree in Hospitality Management or closely related discipline from a regionally accredited university. (ABDs not accepted unless the candidate is already defended his/her dissertation).
18 graduate credit hours within the hospitality discipline.
3 years of Hospitality Industry managerial work experience.
Record of research/scholarship commensurate with experience
Experience teaching Hospitality Management courses.PREFERRED: Online Teaching experience
